Position Title: Investment Analyst/Associate

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate/ Analyst to join our dynamic team at Growthcap Ventures. The Associate/Analyst will play a key role in supporting our investment activities, conducting market research, evaluating potential investment opportunities, and assisting with portfolio management. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the venture capital industry
and work closely with seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investment Analysis and Research:
    •  Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and potential investment opportunities in the fintech and SaaS sectors.
    •  Perform detailed financial analysis, including valuation models, financial projections, and due diligence on prospective investments.
    • Prepare comprehensive investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee.
  2. Deal Sourcing and Evaluation
    • Assist in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities through networking, industry events, and other channels.
    • Conduct initial screenings of potential investments and present findings to senior team members.
    • Collaborate with entrepreneurs, founders, and other stakeholders to assess the viability and strategic fit of investment opportunities.
  3. Portfolio Management:
    • Support the management and monitoring of existing portfolio companies.
    • Assist in the preparation of portfolio performance reports and analysis.
    • Work with portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance and support as needed.
  4. Industry Engagement:
    • Represent Growthcap Ventures at industry conferences, events, and meetings.
    • Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other
      venture capitalists.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory
      developments in fintech and SaaS.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or
    advanced degree is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking,
    consulting, or a related field.
  •  Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation
    techniques.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present
    complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Passion for fintech, SaaS, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
