Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President (VP) to join our team at Growthcap Ventures. The VP will be instrumental in driving our investment activities, leading deal sourcing, conducting market research, evaluating potential investment opportunities, and managing our portfolio companies. Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute investment strategies focused on fintech and SaaS sectors.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of new investment opportunities.
- Guide the investment team in conducting detailed financial analysis, due diligence, and market research.
- Â Deal Sourcing and Execution:

- Portfolio Management:

- Lead the preparation of portfolio performance reports and analysis for the Investment Committee and LPs.

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in fintech and SaaS.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or a related field, with a strong focus on fintech and SaaS.
- Proven track record of successful investments and portfolio management.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Analysis and Research:

Role Overview:
- Fundraising Leadership
- Develop and execute a strategic annual fundraising plan aligned with GrowthCap’s vision to expand our fund.
- Drive engagement with existing investors while identifying and onboarding new capital partners from Family Offices, UHNWIs, and institutional networks.
- Build and maintain relationships to secure commitments, leveraging your proven track record in fundraising (e.g. raised min 100 Cr + in prior roles).
- Investor Relations and Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for LPs, Family Offices, and institutional investors, ensuring transparent and consistent communication.

Must-Haves:
- Proven Track Record in Fundraising: Demonstrable experience in successfully raising capital (e.g., $XXM+) for private equity, venture capital, or related investment platforms.
- Industry Expertise: At least 3 years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, or Venture Capital, with a focus on fundraising and deal execution.
- Network Strength: A robust network of LPs, tech investors, UHNWIs, and Family Offices, with the ability to tap into and expand these relationships.

Role Description: Investment and Portfolio Analyst/Associate
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual and a learner to join our team as an Investment and Portfolio Analyst/Associate. In this role, you will learn and contribute to the success of our innovative and forward-thinking venture capital fund focused on the Fintech/Tech First sector in India. You will have the opportunity to participate in fund setup, deal sourcing, investor relations, deal execution, due diligence, portfolio management, and thought leadership initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Fund Setup: Collaborate closely with legal counsel, tax advisors, trustees, and merchant bankers to review and contribute to the fund setup documentation. Deal Sourcing and Execution: Utilize various channels to source potential investment opportunities. Network and build collaborations with relevant stakeholders to execute deals effectively. Manage legal documentation and financial transactions.
Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective targets, analyzing financials, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Prepare investment committee (IC) memos and financial models for evaluation.
Portfolio Management: Prepare investor memos and internal updates based on insights gathered from investee companies. Work closely with investee companies to provide strategic guidance and leverage your network to support their growth trajectory.
Exits: Coordinate closely with investee companies to facilitate profitable exits. Collaborate with investment bankers and founders to maximize financial and impact returns.
