Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President (VP) to join our team at Growthcap Ventures. The VP will be instrumental in driving our investment activities, leading deal sourcing, conducting market research, evaluating potential investment opportunities, and managing our portfolio companies. This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of fintech and SaaS investments and work closely with a talented team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Strategy and Leadership:
   • Develop and execute investment strategies focused on fintech and SaaS sectors.
   • Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of new investment opportunities.
   • Guide the investment team in conducting detailed financial analysis, due diligence, and market research.
     
     
2.  Deal Sourcing and Execution:
   • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential investments through networking, industry events, and other channels.
   • Lead deal negotiations, structure investment terms, and close transactions.
   • Develop strong relationships with entrepreneurs, founders, and other stakeholders to assess the viability and strategic fit of investment opportunities.
     
     
3. Portfolio Management:
   • Oversee the management and monitoring of portfolio companies.
   • Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio companies, including operational and financial advice.
   • Lead the preparation of portfolio performance reports and analysis for the Investment Committee and LPs.
     
     
4.  Industry Engagement and Networking:
   • Represent Growthcap Ventures at industry conferences, events, and meetings.
   • Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, other venture capitalists, and potential partners.
   • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in fintech and SaaS.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or a related field, with a strong focus on fintech and SaaS.
• Proven track record of successful investments and portfolio management.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
